Billboard Wars is a project by SUNDAY DRV. These terms apply to browsing the site, submitting a business, and purchasing a virtual billboard placement. “We” means the operator of Billboard Wars. By submitting a claim and accepting these terms at checkout, you agree to the terms below.
1. What you’re claiming
A billboard is advertising space inside this website’s illustrated road trip. It is not a physical roadside sign, ownership of property, or a prize. Billboard numbers identify positions along the virtual road; they are not independent business ratings. Starter listings are selected by the project and are not proof of payment, participation, sponsorship, or endorsement by the featured company.
You choose a specific available billboard and a claim amount in US dollars. Your offer must be at least $1 above its current winning price. The form suggests an additional $50, but you can change that amount. You pay the full amount of your new claim, not only the difference from the previous price. Payments are one-time, not subscriptions.
Opening a form or starting checkout does not reserve a billboard. Payment must be verified and the claim must still meet the minimum when our system processes it. Concurrent payments are resolved by the system’s processing order, not the time you opened the page. There is no daily auction deadline. A successful placement remains until a higher qualifying paid claim replaces it, subject to the removal and availability provisions below.
Stripe handles checkout. Review the total and any applicable tax displayed there before paying. We do not receive or store full card numbers. Payment confirmation and the updated billboard can take time to appear; do not submit duplicate payments while a claim is being confirmed. A new claim does not purchase credit toward another billboard.
2. Refunds, replacements & payment problems
Outbid before fulfillment: if a verified payment cannot win because the offer is no longer high enough, our system initiates a full refund instead of awarding that claim.
Outbid after fulfillment: once your claim has been awarded and made available on the site, a later replacement does not entitle you to a refund, even if it happens soon afterward. There is no guaranteed minimum display time.
Change of mind or disappointing results: a fulfilled claim is generally non-refundable. Low traffic, no sales, deciding not to advertise, or requesting removal does not undo the purchase.
Errors or non-delivery: genuine duplicate charges, incorrect charges, or a paid claim we cannot fulfill will be investigated and corrected, including a refund when appropriate. Your legally required refund rights always apply.
Refunds go through Stripe to the original payment method. Initiating a refund does not mean the credit is immediately available; bank processing and payment-provider delays can apply. Keep your checkout reference and receipt if you need help. Nothing here prevents you from reporting an unauthorized charge or exercising legitimate payment-dispute rights. We may suspend the affected placement while a payment is disputed, reversed, or found fraudulent.
3. Who may submit a business
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you act for a business, you must have authority to purchase advertising and grant permission to use its information and images. Do not claim a competitor’s identity or submit someone else’s business without authorization. You are responsible for accurate contact details, an appropriate industry selection, a working destination URL, and any licenses or disclosures required for your advertising.
4. Images, company details & acceptable use
You retain your rights in submitted material. You give us permission to store, resize, crop, format, and display your company details and chosen artwork to operate your billboard, business panel, directory entry, and related saved or shared views. This permission includes an Open Graph image you choose from your website. You must have the necessary copyright, trademark, privacy, and publicity permissions; an image being publicly accessible does not itself grant those rights.
Advertising claims must be accurate, supportable, and lawful. Do not submit impersonation, scams, malware, phishing, unlawful goods or services, infringing material, hate or harassment, explicit sexual content, or content exploiting minors. Do not manipulate claims, use stolen payment details, bypass access controls, or disrupt the service. Ordinary sharing and browsing are welcome.
We may request evidence of authorization, correct formatting, or restrict or remove material reasonably believed to violate these terms, infringe rights, or create a security or legal risk. Payment does not exempt a listing from these rules. Removal for your breach generally does not refund a fulfilled claim, except where law requires otherwise. If we cannot provide a paid placement for reasons unrelated to your breach, contact us for an appropriate remedy.
Names and logos belong to their respective owners. Neither an advertiser’s submission nor these terms gives us rights to unrelated third-party material. If you own a featured business or believe material infringes your rights, you may request correction or removal. Include the billboard number or URL, the material at issue, your contact details, and your authority to make the request. We may ask for supporting information and restrict disputed content during review.
5. Expectations & outside websites
We do not promise impressions, clicks, leads, sales, search ranking, a particular audience, or a return on your advertising spend. Appearance here does not certify a business or its claims. Linked businesses control their own products, websites, and policies; purchases from them are separate from your use of Billboard Wars.
The scenic route, chapter labels, and itinerary are an artistic browsing experience, not navigation directions or a verified travel plan. Check actual business locations, opening hours, and availability before visiting.
6. Availability & responsibility
We work to keep the experience available, but maintenance, connectivity, browsers, and payment or hosting providers may cause interruptions. Features and visual presentation may change. A claim is not a promise that the service will operate forever. We will not use a terms update to retroactively eliminate a refund already owed.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation or suitability for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or business opportunities. Our aggregate liability connected with a paid claim is limited to the amount paid for that claim; for other use, it is limited to $100. These limits do not exclude fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liabilities and remedies that cannot legally be limited, and do not reduce a refund owed under these terms.
For business advertisers, to the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse the operator for reasonable third-party claims, damages, and legal costs caused by your unlawful advertising, infringement, or material breach. This does not cover losses caused by our own misconduct. We will notify you of a claim and allow reasonable participation in its defense; no settlement may impose an admission or non-monetary obligation on you without your consent.
7. Privacy & saved businesses
To process claims, we store business information, website and industry, contact name and email, selected artwork, billboard number, amount, timestamps, claim status, and payment and refund references. We use these records to fulfill claims, handle support and disputes, prevent abuse, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Short-lived hashed request identifiers help limit abuse.
Business details, artwork, billboard placement, amounts, and claim history may be public. Contact names and email addresses are not included in public business panels; authorized administrators and service providers may process them as needed to run the service. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy. Hosting and storage providers process site data on our behalf. Records may be processed outside your home jurisdiction.
Your saved itinerary is stored in your browser, without an account or cross-device synchronization. You can remove saved stops or clear this site’s browser data. Sharing opens your device’s sharing tools or copies a link; you choose whether and where to send it.
We keep claim and transaction records as needed for service delivery, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations; removal from a billboard does not erase payment history. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to identity verification and lawful retention requirements. No system can guarantee absolute security. The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit their personal information.
8. Updates & general terms
The terms you accept for a payment govern that transaction. We will date revisions on this page, and material new payment terms apply to future claims. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. No provision waives protections that applicable law makes mandatory. These terms and the transaction details you confirm describe your purchase; they do not guarantee any advertising outcome.
